Eleven genotypes (four hybrids and their respective parental lines) of pigeonpea were morphologically characterized using twenty one descriptors at different stages of plant growth. Out of twenty one qualitative and quantitative traits, twelve traits were polymorphic in nature while remaining were monomorphic. Seed coat colour, pattern of streaks on standard petal and pod colour were the most widely varied qualitative traits of pigeonpea.
