Afield experiment on maximization of productivity of Soybean-Wheat cropping system was carried out at Agricultural Research Station, Niphad, Dist. Nasik (MS) on Vertisol during 2008–09 to 2010–11. Results revealed that the use of organic sources along with chemical fertilizers significantly influenced the yield both crops. FYM + Vermi compost (3.75+1.25 tha−1) along with 100 percent recommended dose of chemical fertilizers (50: 75: 00 N: P2O5: K2O kg ha−1) produced significantly higher grain yield of Soybean. For wheat, application of vermicompost@ 2.5 t ha−1along with 100 per cent recommended dose of chemical fertilizers (120: 60: 40 N: P2O5: K2O kg ha−1) produced significantly higher yield over rest of the treatments.
