Abstract

A field experiment was conducted at Agricultural Research Station, Niphad, Dist. Nashik, Maharashtra during the years 2007–08 to 2011–12 with an objective to find out suitable intercrop in Pigeon pea. Pigeon pea was intercropped with soybean, groundnut, cowpea, french bean and sunflower in 1: 3 row proportion while sorghum with 1: 4 row proportion, along with sole sowing of all these crops. Intercropping of Pigeon pea + French bean in 1: 3 row proportion was found suitable.
