Being seasonal crop, the arrivals of mango is highest during April to July. Seasonality is the main reason for fluctuations in the prices of mango. An efficient functioning of markets provides remunerative prices for the produce. During present investigation trend in the arrivals and prices of mango in Varanasi market has been studied. Data of twenty one years from Varanasi market were collected from Agricultural produce market committee (APMC), Varanasi and Ag Marknet portal. Linear equations and the values for Karl Pearson correlation coefficient were used to find out correlation and marketing trend. Out of the various equations used logarithmic function was found to be the best fit with the growth rate values of 18.89 and 24.80, for prices and arrivals respectively. The correlation coefficient ranged from-0.852 to 0.027. Farmers were getting better prices during the lean season of the crop, however, in order to maintain arrivals in the market there was a need of developing storage facility.
