Abstract

The Cobb-Douglas production function was used to study input-output relationship in milk production of Pandharpuri buffalo. The value of R2 was 0.66 indicating that the four variables selected for analysis had explained 66 per cent variation in total milk production of Pandharpuri buffalo in the year 2009. The green fodder had positive and highly significant influence on milk production. Marginal productivity of green fodder was 0.315 percent indicating that one per cent increase in this variable would increase milk production by 0.315 per cent.
