Abstract

A field experiment was conducted at the Mahatma Phule Krishi Vidyapeeth, Rahuri, during kharif season to study the effect of N application in splits on productivity of Bt cotton. Application of N in 6 splits, 20% at sowing and remaining in 5 equal splits at 30, 45, 60, 75 and 90 DAS recorded significantly higher values for plant height, sympodial branches plant−1, bolls plant−1and seed cotton yield plant−1. Hence application of nitrogen in 6 splits was found most suitable.
