Abstract

Sowing seeds @ 35kg ha−1within the rows spaced 20 cm apart recorded significantly higher grain and straw yield. Uptake of N, P and K by rice with the seed rate of 35 kg ha−1was significantly higher, than the seed rates of 20 and 30 kg ha−1. It was also higher with 20 cm row spacing over 25 and 30 cm. Higher seed rate of aerobic rice along with closer row spacing was thus found beneficial.
