Abstract

The leaves of fodder trees found in Ahmednagar district of Maharashtra state were evaluated for nutritional composition. The dry matter, crude protein, NDF, ADF contents and digestibility (IVDMD) of these leaves were found comparable with cultivated forage crops. Subabul (Leucaena leucocephala (Lam.) leaves recorded highest crude protein content and IVDMD, while lowest ADF and NDF contents.
