Abstract

Total 300 ground water samples were collected from 30 villages of Chakur tahsil of Latur district during monsoon and winter season. The water samples were alkaline in reaction. The EC values were low in monsoon as compare to those in winter season. Among the cations, Na+ was dominant followed by Mg++, Ca++ and K+. The relative proportion of anions in ground waters was in the sequence of SO4 >CO3 >HCO3 >Cl.
