Field demonstrations were undertaken on Bajra (hybrid-Shanti) during kharif seasons of 2007 to 2011 in under rain fed conditions. Improved production technology recorded 12.37 to 26.38 per cent increase in yield over farmers conventional practice. Conducting 155 field demonstrations on farmer's fields helped to identify the constraints and potential of the bajra cultivation.
