Abstract

Life-fecundity tables of E. vittella were studied on three cotton cultivars under laboratory conditions. The net reproductive rate (R0) representing the total females per generation were 124.29, 71.93 and 100.41 on Parbhani Turab, Paras Brahma and NHH-44 cultivars, respectively. The innate capacity for increase in number (rm) was 0.209 (Parbhani Turab), 0.127 (Paras Brahma) and 0.169 (NHH-44) female per female/day. The overall suitability of the cultivars was Parbhani Turab, NHH-44 and Paras Brahma in decending order.
