Life-Fecundity of Earias Vittella on Different Cotton Cultivars

Life-fecundity tables of E. vittella were studied on three cotton cultivars under laboratory conditions. The net reproductive rate (R₀) representing the total females per generation were 124.29, 71.93 and 100.41 on Parbhani Turab, Paras Brahma and NHH-44 cultivars, respectively. The innate capacity for increase in number (r_m) was 0.209 (Parbhani Turab), 0.127 (Paras Brahma) and 0.169 (NHH-44) female per female/day. The overall suitability of the cultivars was Parbhani Turab, NHH-44 and Paras Brahma in decending order.
