Morphological characters like plant height (cm), leaf area (dm2), flag leaf area (dm2), and number of leaves had highest magnitude in genotype T11 (Phule Vasudha) while lowest in T7 (CRS 13) under rainfed condition. Under irrigation the genotype T10 (Phule Maulee) had highest magnitude of various morphological characters, while the lowest in T7 (CRS 13). The various physiological characters such as RLWC (%), chlorophyll stability index (%), leaf temperature (°C), rate of photosynthesis (μ mol/m2/sec), rate of transpiration (m mol m−2 s−1), stomatal frequency (mm2), stomatal conductance (mol/m2/sec) and PAR (nm) had highest magnitude in T10 (Phule Maulee) and T8 (CRS 14), while lowest in T4 (RSV 1037) and T5 (RSV 1077) under rainfed conditions., Under irrigated condition the genotype T1 (RSV 827) had highest and T4 (RSV 1037) and T5 (RSV 1077) had the lowest magnitudes respectively.
As compared to rainfed genotypes, all genotypes in irrigated plot had the highest magnitude for all characters except rate of photosynthesis.. The highest yield was observed in genotype T11 (Phule Vasudha) under both rainfed and irrigated conditions, while lowest was observed in T3 (RSV 1033) under rainfed and T6(BJV 74) under irrigated conditions, respectively.
