Abstract

Correlation and path coefficient analysis was done for eleven characters in forty chickpea genotypes. The character association studies indicated that number of seeds per pod and number of pods per plant had highly significant positive association with seed yield per plant. Path coefficient analysis revealed that number of pods per plant had direct positive effect on seed yield per plant as well as pod to husk ratio.
