Abstract

Present study was undertaken at the Bidi Tobacco Research Station, Anand with six female and five male lines through line x tester mating design. The relative heterosis, heterobeltiosis and standard heterosis varied from cross to cross for all characters under study. Hybrid GT 5 (4) X Kumkumathri (5) exhibited significant and highest relative heterosis and heterobeltiosis for cured leaf yield. Hybrids GT 7 (3) X ABD 101 (3) and GT 7 (3) X ABD 28 (4) exhibited good standard heterosis and relative as well as standard heterosis, respectively for cured leaf yield.
