Occurrence, molecular diagnosis and detection of citrus greening disease in sweet orange
Abstract
PCR amplification of citrus greening bacterium was observed from Jan 2007 to April and October to December 2007. However, during April to September, PCR amplification was not observed. Thus the greening bacterium could be detected more reliably between Octobers to March, when the temperature was relatively low. However, Citrus mosaic virus was detected throughout the year. The technology of PCR detection of Citrus mosaic virus and greening bacterium developed using NCM based DNA template during present investigation has been validated during present investigation
