Effect of different mulches on growth, yield and quality of banana c v. Grand Naine

A field experiment was undertaken to observe the effect of different mulches on growth, yield and quality in banana at Banana Research Station, Jalgaon (MS) during 2011–2014. The experiment was conducted with two organic and two synthetic mulches along with without mulch as control. The growth and yield was found to be significantly superior under Silver black polyethylene mulch, while soil properties were found to be better under organic mulching.
