Abstract

Maximum plant height (177.20 cm), number of branches/plant (19.5), root length (24.8 cm), fresh root yield (206.10 q/ha) and dry root yield (41.22 q/ha) were recorded when FYM (5 tons/ha) + Vermicompost (2 tons/ha) + PSB (5 kg/ha) was applied. Harvesting at 18 months after transplantation resulted in maximum yield.
