Correlation analysis for yield and yield contributing traits in sunflower (Helianthus annuus L.)

Abstract

Association analysis was done for nine yield and component characters in sunflower using 20 hybrids across four environments.. The results revealed that head diameter, seed filling, test weight and days to maturity had significant positive association with seed yield. Hence these four characters could be considered as selection indices for high yield. Oil content had non significant and negative association with seed yield
