Stability analysis for yield and yield components in pearl millet (Pennisetum Glaucumm L.)

Abstract

Twenty hybrids along with two checks viz., RHRBH 9808, AHB 1666 of Pearl millet were evaluated for stability analysis during Kharif 2013–2014 at three locations in randomized block design. Observations were recorded on Days to 50% flowering, Days to maturity, Plant height (cm), Total number of tillers per plant, Number of effective tillers per plant, 1000 grain weight (g), Ear head girth (cm), Ear head length (cm), Fodder yield/per plant (g), Grain yield per plant (g). The hybrids PT-4139X ICMA-95333 and PT-4801 X ICMA-99222 showed wider adaptability to all environments with respect to the grain yield per plant.
