Abstract

The growth parameters viz., plant height, number of leaves, leaf area, number of branches, number of nodes and length of internode were significantly influenced due to the application of Nitrogen. The plant height was maximum (110.07 cm), and number of leaves, leaf area, number of branches and number of nodes were significantly higher with the application of 50 per cent N through urea + 50 per cent N through neem cake. All yield contributing characters e.g. weight, breadth and length of fruit, number of fruits per plant and fruit yield were significantly affected due to the treatments offered during present investigation. Significantly maximum weight, breadth and length (10.47 g, 1.50 cm and 9.54 respectively) of okra fruit were observed under the influence of 50 per cent N through urea + 50 per cent N through neem cake
