Pollen analysis of apis dorsata f. honeys from paderu forest division in Visakhapatnam District, Andhrapradesh

Abstract

The paper incorporates results obtained on pollen analysis of 13 honey samples of Apisdorsata F. collected during winter season of 2011–2013. Out of the 13 samples, 4 samples were recognized as unifloral with predominant pollen taxa viz.,Schleichera oleosa in two samples, Exacum tetragonum in one and Tridax procumbens in one sample. Rest of the samples were multifloral. In all 35 pollen taxa, belonging to 21 families were identified in the honey samples.
