Effect of glyphosate herbicide on oxygen consumption of fresh water crab, Barytelphusa cunicularis was studied in various seasons under long term exposure, sub-lethal concentration of 936 mg/kg body weight. The results obtained revealed that the rate of oxygen consumption decreased with increasing exposure period. The order of decrease in the rate of oxygen consumption was summer>monsoon>winter seasons respectively.
