Abstract

Studies were carried out on soil nutrient index and soil fertility at Parali, Georai, Ashti, Beed and Patoda tahsils of Beed district, Maharashtra state. The soils were alkaline in reaction, safer limits of electrical conductivity. These soils were calcareous in nature, with low to medium organic carbon content. The soils were low in available N, P, Zn and Fe, while high in available K, DTPA-Cu and Mn.
