Abstract

A field experiment was conducted at Agronomy Section, College of Agriculture, Agronomy farm Dhule during Kharif 2015 to study performance of Bt cotton under the influence of different planting techniques. Transplanted Bt cotton recorded highest seed cotton yield(27.27 q ha−1)and stalk yield (103.06q ha−1) than dibbled cotton. The yield of cotton increased by 12.46% due to transplanting. Inter row spacing of 120 cm and intra row spacing of 90 cm recorded significantly higher seed cotton (27.77 q ha−1), and stalk (105.01q ha−1) yields. The transplanted Bt cotton with 120 cm inter row and 90 cm intra row spacing recorded significantly higher values of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium uptake.
