Abstract

Studies were undertaken to find out the effect of commonly used pesticides on Mallada desjardinsi (Navas) (Neuroptera: Chrysopidae), at different life stages, which is a major predator of red spider mite infesting tea plantations in South India. Among them, bifenthrin was found to be most toxic to the adults of M.desjardinsi, which was followed by deltamethrin, quinalphos and thiamethoxam.
