Algae from Nathsagar water reservoir, Paithan, were investigated during the years 2005 to 2013. The algal taxa collected were belonging to classes Chlorophyceae, Bacillariophyceae, Cyanophyceae and Euglenophyceae. In all, 466 species were recorded of which 258 were belonging to 44 genera of Chlorophyceae. Species of Bacillariophyceae (Diatoms) were 127 belonging to 21 genera. There were 79 species of Cyanophyceae (blue green algae) belonging to 19 genera and 2 species of Euglenophyceae were recorded.
