Effect of n-mythelene phosponic chitosan 1.75 per cent solution on growth and yield of okra

Abstract

A field experiment was conducted at Agriculture Research Station, Repoli Tal. Mangaon, Dist. Raigad to study the effect of N-Mythelene Phosponic Chitosan (1.75 per cent) on growth and yield of okra during summer 2018. The field experiment was laid out in randomised block design with 7 treatments and three replications. The treatments consisted T1-N-Mythelene Phosponic Chitosan 1.75 (250 ml ha−1), T2-N-Mythelene Phosponic Chitosan 1.75 (500 ml ha−1), T3-N-Mythelene Phosponic Chitosan 1.75 (750 ml ha−1), T4-N-Mythelene Phosponic Chitosan 1.75 (1000 ml ha−1), T5-N-Mythelene Phosponic Chitosan 1.75 (1250 ml ha−1), T6-University standard (100: 50: 25 NPK Kg/ha−1) and T7 >Untreated (Control). Application of N-Mythelene Phosponic Chitosan 1.75 at 1250 ml ha−1 (T5) recorded significantly more number of fruits per plant, weight of fruits per plant (gm) and fruit yield (kg per ha) as compared to rest of the treatments, except application of N-Mythelene Phosponic Chitosan 1.75 at 1000 ml ha−1 and N-Mythelene Phosponic Chitosan 1.75 at 750 ml ha−1. Application of N-Mythelene Phosponic Chitosan 1.75 at 1000 ml ha−1 and N-Mythelene Phosponic Chitosan 1.75 at 750 ml ha−1 was at par with the application of N Mythelene Phosponic Chitosan 1.75 at 1250 ml ha−1.
