Abstract

During present investigation effect of ethyl methane sulphonate (EMS) and sodium azide (SA) was studied on chickpea (Cicer arietinum L.) cv BDN 9–3 and PG-5. Both had different quantitative characters in M2 and M3 generations. They showed variability in plant height due to the treatments of EMS and SA. Higher concentrations of mutagens, showed positive shift with regards to the plant height in both cultivars in M2 and M3 generations.
