Abstract

Fungi were isolated from infected samples of onion and garlic bulbs and identified. Those included Aspergillus niger, A. flavs, Alternaria porri, Fusarium oxysporium, Botrytis alli, Penicillium sp., Macrophomina phaseolina, Cladosporium alli, Rhizopus stolonifer and Chaetomium sp. All of them were pathogenic. Trichoderma sp. was observed to as microbial agent against the pathogens of onion and garlic.
