Abstract

The chemical mutagens Ethyl methane sulphonate (EMS) and Sodium azide (SA) successfully induced leaf alterations. These included enhancement in the size of the leaves, reduction in the size of leaf lamina, expansion of leaf lamina, leaves with coarse margin, round and bi-lobed leaves and liner or cup shaped cotyledon leaves.
