The present research work was carried out in indoor fish breeding and seed production unit (circular cement tanks) for the assessment of breeding and larval rearing performance of common carp (Cyprinus carpio). For this purpose the brooders were collected from water bodies, acclimatized to laboratory conditions and induced for breeding using Ovatide hormones. The brood fishes were kept in circular cement tanks along with egg collectors. After breeding, brooders were removed. Incubation of fertilized eggs as well as larval rearing was carried out in circular tanks under laboratory conditions. The breeding and seed production performance was determined in terms of per cent ovulation, fertilization, hatching and survival rates. The average rate of ovulation was 91.63± 4.30%, whereas average fertilization rate was 80.50±2.32% with an average hatching rate of 80.31±2.32%. Average survival rate for spawns was estimated to be 79.35±2.60%.
