Effect of ovarim on post spawning cellular response of cirrhinus mrigala

Present study deals with the observations on Pituitary glands and gonads in post spawning stage of freshwater carp Cirrhinus mrigala after treatment with Ovarim. in Cirrhinus mrigala. During the experiment ovary showed immature, unspawned ova; few atretic oocytes. Pituitary gland showed vacuolated basophils (GtH), seen due to discharge of hormone in blood stream. Testes showed empty seminiferous tubules with residual sperms.
