Antibacterial activity of Celosia argentia L. and Cassia tora L. leaf extract was screened against four bacterial strains e.g. Bacillus subtilis, Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Klebsiella pneumoniae employing agar well diffusion method and compared with Ciprofloxacin-a wellknown broad-spectrum antibacterial agent. Leaf extracts of both weeds inhibited the growth of all bacteria under investigation, in vitro.
