Abstract

Toxicity of Monocrotophos on mortality and behavior of Nemacheilus botia has been studied. The LC50 value was found to be 38.2 mg/lit. for 7 days of exposures. The result indicated that the mortality of fish due to Monocrotophos was dose-time dependent. Alteration in behavioral response was also observed due to the exposure of fish to Monocrotophos.
