During survey of fungal diversity, a novel species Coleophoma sagarensis was observed on living leaves of Syzygium aromaticum (L.) Merr. & L.M. Perry. Literature survey revealed that, species of Coleophoma has been reported earlier on Syzygium aromaticum. The same species has been illustrated, described and compared with allied species.
