Abstract

Study on bird diversity at Umarvihire Shivar of SoygaonTahsil, Aurangabad District (M.S.) was undertaken during the years 2011 to 2018. Total 86 types of birds were found in selected area, belonging to 34 families. The bird fauna included 15 winter visitor, 3 summer visitor and 69 birds were residents. The common bird species were Jungle babbler, common myna, spotted dove, blue rock pigeon, house crow, black drongo etc. Considerable bird diversity was observed during present investigation.
