Effect of formulated diet on growth and survival of Cyprinus carpio
Abstract
Three test diets were formulated using fishmeal (FM), along with locally available ingredients, with 2, 4 or 6% protein contents and fed to common carp, (Cyprinus carpio) for 60 days. Significant improvement in weight gain, specific growth rate, food conversion rate and protein efficiency ratio, along with protein and fat contents were recorded.
