Abstract

Total 91 species of butterflies were recorded from Jalgaon District of Maharashtra state. Highest number of butterflies belonging to Nymphalidae (28) were recorded, followed by Lycaenidae (27) Pieridae (18)Hesperiidae (11) and Papilionidae (7).
