Abstract

Sida sivarajanii Tambde, Sardesai & A.K. Pandey (Malvaceae) was reported as a new distributional plant record from Chandrapur District from Vidarbha Region of Maharashtra state, India. Earlier this species was only known to occur in Aurangabad, Kolhapur and Pune Districts of Maharashtra. A detail taxonomic description, flowering and fruiting, distribution and photographs are provided along with its medicinal and economical uses.Taxonomic key of genus Sida L. in Vidarbha region of Maharashtra state has also been provided for identification of various species in the field.
