Abstract

Present investigation was undertaken on use of farm pond algae as bio-fertilizer, on seed germination and seedling growth of Cucumis sativus L. Two samples of algal biomass were employed for this purpose, in the form of aqueous and cow urine extracts. Percent seed, germination, shoot length, root length and seedling length of Cucumis sativus L. were recorded. Promising results were reported with algal extracts particularly that prepared using cow urine.
