Present study on butterfly fauna, belonging to order Lepidoptera, from tea plantation areas of Golaghat district of Assam, was undertaken by “Pollard Walk” method during July, 2019 to January, 2020. In all, 62 species of butterflies, belonging to six families of the order Lepidoptera, were recorded. Among them the species belonging to Nymphalidae represented highest number (19) of species.
