Abstract

Core shell bimetallic ferrous and silver bimetallic nanoparticles were synthesized using aqueous leaf extract of Launea procumbens. Initially, Fe nanoparticles were obtained by using plant extract, with FeSO4 as precursor salt, and thereafter AgNO3 was added for the formation of shell on it without the help of plant extract. The Fe-Ag NPs thus prepared were characterized by UV visible Spectroscopy, Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) and Fourier Transform Infrared (FT-IR) Spectroscopy.
