During present study bacteriocin producing Lactic Acid Bacteria (LAB) were isolated from curd. Eight acid producing strains were isolated form the sample. The bacteriocin activity of these strains was screened by agar well diffusion method for which Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus were used as indicator species. Out of 8 isolates, 2 isolates showed bacteriocin activity against both Gram positive and Gram negative bacteria.
