Abstract

Ethno-medicinal study was undertaken to enumerate plant resources used as medicine in Rajouri district of Peer Panjal range of Jammu and Kashmir, Himalaya. The data were gathered using semi-structured questionnaire, interviews and discussions with the knowledgeable elder tribal people which included mainly Gujjar and Bakerwals. The results revealed that several plants were traditionally used for curing various health disorders. This traditional information needs documentation as well as conservation.
