Present experiment was carried out to study the effect of elevated level of CO2 (600± 50ppm), elevated CO2+temperature (600±50 pprn + 2 ± 0. 5′C), and ambient CO2 concentration (380 ± 50 pprn) on growth and biomass productivity of A/ardosfacrtysiafamans/for three years (2018–2020), under field conditions by using Open top chambers (OTCs) There was significant positive effect of CO2 and temperature on growth, development and yield of N. jatamansi. Plants treated with elevated CO2 and temperature showed increased number of leaves, plant height and leaf area in comparison to ambient condition. The above and below ground and total biomass were increased in both CO2 and CO2+T treatments. The study concludes that the plant species residing in the alpine environment may positively affected with respect to the growth and biomass production due to the rising atmospheric CO2 and temperature in near future. There is scope for more such studies at community level in alpine regions.
