The compost was prepared using soybean (Glycine max) waste, along with acid and enzyme pretreatments. The microbial count increased initially and declined in the latter stages of composting, while pH varied between 5 to 8. Potassium content and EC was higher in the compost prepared with acid pretreatment. There was decrease in C: N ratio due to the treatment with enzyme cellulase. An increase in germination index was observed under the influence of compost.
