Abstract

A pot experiment was conducted to study the effect of root knot nematode (Meloidogyne incognita) on growth of bottle gourd plant. Nematode infected plants showed decreased chlorophyll content shoot mass as well as nitrogen and phosphorus contents as compared to non-infected plants. The leaves showed curling and galls were developed on the roots after 30 days of infection.
