Abstract

Antagonistic activity of Trichoderma species was studied in vitro against root rot of Deccan hemp by dual culture technique. Five Trichoderma spp.Viz. Trichoderma viride, T.pseudokoningii, T.harzianum, T.reeseii, and T. asperiium were tested against Rhizoctonia bataticoia. All Trichoderma species were found to be antagonistic resulting in 68.88,72.22,62.22,60.00 and 58.88% reduction in growth respectively.
