Amorphophallus sylvaticus (Roxb.) Kunth is a rare endemic species found in Gautala Wildlife Sanctuary, Maharashtra, India. The corms of this species are used in various ayurvedic preparations against skin diseases, and in addition those have anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, anti-diabetic and anti-cancerous properties. During present study anatomical, dermatological and Pharmacognostic properties of the plant was investigated. The plant showed presence of alkaloid, anthraquinones, saponins, flavonoids and tannins.
