Taxonomic note on Alysicarpus bupleurifolius (L.) var. bupleurifolius DC., prodr. (Fabaceae)

Alysicarpus bupleurifolius is highly variable species of the genus Alysicarpus Desv. It shows considerable morphological variation in different variants is considered as form, and accordingly known as forms. In all five forms of Alysicarpus bupleurifolius has been observed and collected from the different localities of Maharashtra State. The species is commonly found in grasslands, along road side, stream banks of Ponds and Rivers. Morphological key and detailed description of the forms have been given, which helps to understand the status of the species for possible delimitation.
